The single-mode fiber laser, TruFiber, from TRUMPF has top beam quality. This enables highly dynamic welding and cutting processes. However, it also allows for a reduced heat-affected zone and delicate structures. Furthermore, the laser comes into its own with welding in conjunction with beam oscillation (wobbling). In doing so, it achieves top-quality results with an increased welding depth and variable seam width. Areas of application for the TruFiber include the fields of electromobility, electrical engineering, and electronics, as well as precision engineering and medical technology.
The laser, control, beam guidance, processing optics, and sensor system are optimally attuned to one another and can be combined perfectly at TRUMPF.
Oscillation of the laser beam brings advantages in terms of the welding geometry and weld seam quality
The TruFiber provides high integration capabilities and TruControl intelligent control.
Machine and system constructors are responsible for operator safety for the laser systems. The TruFiber impresses with its top level of safety.
Are you looking for the right scanner optics for remote processing? Would you like to orient your laser process using features to be detected on the component? You want to be sure that the laser power remains stable, even on the ten-thousandth component? Don’t want to purchase a chiller specially for laser light cables and optics? Would you like to use robots to carry out the laser process? The TruFiber with periphery provides a comprehensive solution for this and many other applications.
With the TruFiber you can take a big step towards a Smart Factory. Due to the laser’s connectivity via OPC/UA, optimum networking is guaranteed. Using Factory Gate you can integrate several devices into the network – even across sites. With Condition Monitoring you also have full transparency at all times concerning all laser states via dashboards. The Precision Time Protocol also ensures coordination of all sensors with precise timing, and remote access ensures convenient service from anywhere.
The processing optics and the laser light cable connector can simply and conveniently be cooled using the cooling water of the laser. Corresponding cooling water outflows are located on the rear of the TruFiber. Separate cooling of the optics/the laser light cable is therefore not necessary.
Performance Level e allows the OFF and ON-times of the emergency stop safety circuit to be reduced to 25 ms or 90 ms. These fast OFF and ON-times reduce the cycle time of your systems, particularly if you produce components that require the safety circuit to open for transfer.
